Rinsing ROV2 after use

Hello - After use of the ROV2 after marine surveys, I’ve rinsed the machine with freshwater making sure to spray in and around the thrusters. Is this enough after each use (I know that periodically I should be taking the cover off for deeper clean) ? or should I be running the whole machine in fresh water to clean the thrusters? For this I’d have to find a larger water bath or tub than I have at the moment. Should I spray with WD40 / CRC or silicone spray? Thanks.

Hi @Paul1 -
Definitely don’t spray any WD-40, it can damage plastic!
A rinse like you’re doing is probably good, but once in awhile completely submerging the ROV in freshwater after a dive is the best way to ensure all the salt is dissolved - warm water is great for this too! A tub or trashcan does the trick
