RC Kayak Two Thrusters Differential Steering

I just bought an 11 foot inflatable kayak with a drop stitch floor and I would like to add two thrusters. I want to control the thrusters with a simple Hobby remote control with differential steering and usa my HUGE 230AH Lifepo 13.2v RV Battery to power it. I’m not concerned with going very fast I would just like to be able to cruise around for 3 or 4 hours or more at a reasonable normal paddling speed.

It’s basically a giant remote control boat with a huge battery and I could actually attach a fishing pole to it and drive it around the lake while I’m sitting in my chair or while I’m in the kayak.

This is what I posted on another Forum but come to find out it was 3 years old
I just bought an 11 ft kayak and want to make it remote control basically with two thrusters and I could use a simple RC boat remote control. I guess it would just come down to the speed controls and thrusters. I would like to use my huge 230 amp hour 13.2 volt lithium battery

I’m thinking it should be less than a couple hundred dollars depending on which thrusters but I’m thinking the bigger the better and I don’t need to run them at full speed but with this simple remote control or one similar to it I could turn left and right backwards or

around in a 360

Hi @BigB -
Sounds like a fun project! I’ve got no experience with that controller and receiver, but you’ll likely need a brushless motor ESC that supports bidirectional operation to power that thruster. While inexpensive, I wouldn’t expect it to last very long - you get what you pay for, especially when it comes to products that come in contact with water!
Best of luck
