We are trying to power the T200 with the basic ESC. We are going to use a 24V battery.
The basic ESC can handle 7-26V which is fine for our 24V battery, but the motors can handle 7–20V. Can we use the 24V battery without a voltage regulator set to 20V to make sure the motors doesn’t draw more than 20V or the ESC can step down the voltage to the appropriate level?

You should not use the higher voltage with the T200. Even if you run the thruster at low speeds, the ESC is not stepping down the voltage, but modulating the timing that it is applied to control the rotation. I’d recommend you use a 20V output DCDC regulator rated for the power you intend to draw, or a lower voltage battery. Sorry for the hassle!
