Any problems with i2c comms between two arduino uno’s and 200 ft of #24AWG wire? In the near future I want to implement two-way coms between my undersea rover ( a better name than ROV) and the surface, as most of you now have.

Richard,
I2C is not designed for long distances at all. It will have trouble after a few meters. I’d look into a differential signal communication method like RS422 or RS485.
Best,
Rusty
Okay, thanks. Looks like Sparkfun makes a neat RS485 breakout board.
