How many things should I pay attention to about surface power supply?

Hi, guys! I plan to make a bigger and heavier ROV whose frame is the same as bluerov2, and what I want is that it can run longer time, so I choose the surface power supply.

If I choose a DC power in my boat which can supply high current(24V,100A), what I should pay attention except power loss.

If I choose an AC power(220V) in my boat, what I should pay attention except power loss.

@zanran8 Powering a vehicle over the tether is not a trivial task. It requires high voltages that can kill you. It should not be attempted without an intimate understanding of the principles and hazards at hand.
