Fathom ROV Tether compatibility with RJ45 cable in short distance

Hi there… I am new to the underwater ROV world and to this forum.

I want to know if we can use the standard version of Fathom ROV Tether (4 twisted pair) using RJ 45 connector over a shorter distance (between 20-30 m) to connect with ground computer and ROV´s companion computer such Rapberry Pi without using any Fathom-X Tether Interface Board.

Welcome to the forums!
As noted in the how to use page, it’s always a good idea to search before making a post! A lot of questions, including this one, have been answered before.

Even though standard Fathom-Tether is not standard ethernet Cat5/6 specification, it can work in short lengths, 20-30 m should work fine if wired correctly for Ethernet!
