I would indeed recommend sticking with stable 1.4.3! Pulling a vacuum on a running system is not advisable - with no air, heat has a much harder time moving from hot to cold - you could risk damaging your device by pulling vacuum with the system operational.
If you have a widget displaying CPU temp in Cockpit Lite, it should be present in the desktop version of Cockpit, assuming you’re using the same user profile in both sessions?
Regardless, adding a generic indicator widget to display the value is easy! Simply enter cpu temp in the variable search field.
