Blue ROV2 Raspberry Pi Fault

Hello all,

I am relatively new here. The company I work for recently purchased a Blue ROV2 as an educational tool and have used it a few times. On the last time we had a student send it very far down and we received a leak detected warning and we pulled it out of the water ASAP. There was a bit of humidity in the container but all electronics were working fine at the time. We checked the seals and made sure there was no leakage into the container, then tried to power it on but it will not work properly now. All components except for the Raspberry Pi seem to work properly. The Raspberry Pi is showing consistent red light with flashing green light (around 2 times / second). Do you think the Raspberry Pi got damaged by the humidity? There’s no visible corrosion on it. Is there any software stuff I should try before just buying a new Raspberry Pi and then putting the old SD card in it? (Old SD card works fine) Thanks for the help!

Hi @oskye -

Welcome to the forums!

The PI LEDs flashing like that suggests it is having trouble booting. You could try replacing or re-flashing the SD card with BlueOS?

Generally it’s concerning that any moisture was present, especially if this is a newer BlueROV2 with WetLink Penetrators. Have you installed any potted penetrators, or other types of payloads? A positive pressure test can help you find the source of the leak….
