T100 Thruster....Rotor is rusted/oxidized

Hello.

After about 40 hours of pool time, divided across 15 wet/dry cycles, 3 of our 6 thrusters have gotten reduced thrust, they make scratching sound when they’re operating, are harder to move and they feel rough when we move them by hand. When we take the thrusters apart to inspect them, we notice the magnets of the rotors are rusty, this makes the magnet expand and it scratches the stator. We tried to clean the rust off and remove the broken pieces of magnet, but after another trip to the pool, the thrusters keep giving us problems. We are wondering if you sell spare parts for the thrusters, or recommend some lubrication/protection, to prevent this from happening to our other thrusters

Note. We don’t test our sub in salt water, all of our tests are done in our local university chlorinated pool
I attached a picture so you can see more clearly what I am referring to.

Hi @TonyTowersTurkey,

Sorry it took a while to get to this! That doesn’t look good at all,it appears your thruster is an older one from at least two years ago. There have been a lot of changes and improvements since then, and this older version may have had an issue in your case. We do have spare parts available, and we should be able to help you out here. Please send us an email at support@bluerobotics.com, and we’ll go from there.
