Hi @ryan714 -
That depends on what the outer diameter of the wire is - this can vary based on the type of jacket used around the conductor!

If it is less than the smallest WetLink Penetrator size (~4mm OD), then you may be able to use a bit of heat shrink (ideally the type with internal glue) to increase the diameter of a short length, and make sure the sealing plug is seated around this. While you won’t get the full 1000m rating from the penetrator with this approach, you should be able to reach 100-300m without issue!

You may also not be able to fit the wire through the smallest penetrator - there is an internal “step” intended to prevent the outer jacket from moving through the bolt at extreme pressures - this is necessary with multi-conductor cable. With a single conductor, you likely don’t want to strip the outer jacket in order to have it fit through the bolt and enter your housing, so you may need to drill the ID of the bolt out to the minimum size that allows your 14 AWG wire to pass. This will also affect the depth rating, but 100-200m of water pressure should still be acceptable!

Thanks for your response! We measured the diameter to be around 4.6mm, so we selected the M10 4.5 ± 0.3mm LC.
