Way point path fallowing

Hi all, wanted to try out ardusub for a path fallowing experiment I want to make with a little boat.
I would prefer ardusub over ardurover because you can configure the thrusters with a matrix, but I can imagine is not really optimized for surface vehicles.
So, as from the title, my question is: can it does a path fallowing using the GPS in the surface?

Thanks!

Yes. That’s how they initially tested their positioning system.

No, not at the moment. It worked for initial testing back in 2017, but we have done many changes to the vehicle code since then and none of the Position flight modes work right now (http://www.ardusub.com/operators-manual/flight-modes.html#position-enabled-modes).

We recommend ArduRover if you are doing a surface vehicle.
