Hello,

we tried to upgrade the core of BlueROV 2 from RPI4 to RPI5, but it did not work properly. At the beginning, the connection was very unstable. When it stabilised, we had issues with video, which had a high ping (around 800 ms).

Currently, we have to switch back to RPi4. Do you have any suggestions for implementing an RPi5 in a working way? : -)

Thanks

Pavel Savin

Hi @pavel.savin,

As mentioned [on the BlueOS installation page](https://blueos.cloud/docs/latest/usage/installation/#:~:text=Bookworm2-,Limited%20testing,-Additional%20prebuilt%20operating), we have only done limited testing with the RPi5. It _may_ work, but we’ve got more testing (and possibly development) to do before we’ve confirmed the behaviour is robust enough for us to consider it a fully supported configuration.

Given you’re running at the development edge, I’d recommend making sure you’re on at least the latest BlueOS 1.4 beta version, and it’s possible the 1.5 betas will work better (though 1.5 itself is less stable than 1.4).

From there, if you continue to have issues please follow up with some system logs (and a more detailed description of the hardware you’re having issues with, including how it’s connected) so we can better understand what’s going wrong, and try to help resolve the underlying problem(s).
