# Simulating Manual Control using Mavros

@Daven did you end up resolving this?

I’m clearing through a backlog at the moment and found that I forgot to send this response:

I haven’t used MAVROS or Simulink to control an ROV before, but my main thoughts here are that

- [it may help to explicitly set the system ID to 255](https://discuss.bluerobotics.com/t/rc-override-manual-control-not-working-mavlink/12898/4)
- [you may need to send repeated signals to avoid the pilot input failsafe](https://discuss.bluerobotics.com/t/pymavlink-channel-control/13800/2)
- it may help to try using `RC_CHANNELS_OVERRIDE` instead of `MANUAL_CONTROL`
