My companion computer died last weekend. It is a Raspberry Pi 3B ver. 2

Due to coronavirus, it will take a week to get a replacement from Amazon. I have several Raspberry Pi 3B\*\*+\*\* computers laying around, so I swapped the MicroSD card into a 3B+, but I couldn’t boot past the splash screen.

So I downloaded the latest raspbian image from [here](https://s3.amazonaws.com/downloads.bluerobotics.com/Pi/stable/ardusub-raspbian.img.zip), and it also won’t boot past the splash screen.

Is the Raspberry Pi 3B+ supported by the companion computer OS?

Hi @StrikeLines

Only the [Raspberry Pi 3B is supported at this time](https://github.com/bluerobotics/companion/issues/106).

Hi Travis,

Well, if you want to give a shot, you can try to use our work in progress installation script, it may work for you if you are really willing to try.
**⚠ Be aware, this is WIP, it may not work and we do not recommend the use of this script. ⚠**

```auto
wget https://raw.githubusercontent.com/jaxxzer/companion/setup-clean/scripts/install.sh
chmod +x install.sh
./install.sh
```

We highly recommend to not use this as a normal installation, buy **a normal Raspberry Pi 3B** after the quarantine is over and replace the 3B+.
If you don’t want to damage your system, or have unexpected results, please wait for it to be over and buy a new raspberry when possible.

Thanks for the link! I’ll give it a shot. I understand the risks.

No one in the world is better than me at breaking expensive stuff!
