Issues,upgraded to BlueOS 1.4.6 , ArduSub 4.7.1 and Cockpit 1.18.4

Hello

When i upgraded to BlueOS 1.4.6 , ArduSub 4.7.1 and Cockpit 1.18.4 STABLE
my Newton Subsea Gripper is not working anymore.

I thought there was something wrong with output 9 to gripper,so I use servo camera input instead of.

I have try to connect the Newton Subsea Gripper to the servo camera input.
But it’s not working, the light on the motor’s circuit board comes on.
but I cannot control the motor with the buttons.

I have tested just the motor without the ESC,the Gripper motor works.

So there is something wrong with the ESC?

The Bar30 high-pressure comes up as Unknown in BlueOS 1.4.6 (shall be MS5837-30BA)

Hi @an-ron -
See this post for information on the change in newer Ardusub versions to Actuator outputs! Chances are your gripper is just fine - your test with it connected to the camera tilt channel would only produce motion when you got to the max/min PWM value for tilt.

The “Unknown” listing for the Bar30 is a known driver issue with ArduSub 4.7 - it should still work fine, and the ID listing will be fixed in 4.7.2.

Thank you very much for the information.

Here are some pictures of settings,Are the settings correct?

Gripper use output 9

Gripper use Button 0 and button 1

Are there any more settings i need to check?

Hi @an-ron -
Confusingly enough, the gripper referred to in the Ardusub firmware is not related to controlling a gripper - best to disable that!

It also looks like your IMU needs to be calibrated?

I have now done as you said and gripper is working now.

Thank you very much.

Output 9 is now: Value 184

Gripper: channel 9

I see the gripper ESC has no light, but gripper is working.

will calibrate IMU,Just had to get the gripper work first.

After turning off the PC and BlueROV2 and turning everything back on,the Output 9 shows Actuator1.

Turn everything off again now it says Output 9: 184

But the Newton Subsea Gripper is working, with 184 or Actuator1
