# Fiber Optical system

Hi, I would like to know if anyone ever tried using a cheap passive fiber optic splitter on the remote and console site of the ROV to send/receive data and video using the RS232-fiber and BNC to fiber converter.
I’m looking to have 4 x RS232 and 4 x BNC video using such configuration. I know Focal Technologies has the solution but it’s way too expensive for me. Any recommendation please share with me. Thanks.

Use a fiber to ethernet media converter instead and use IP-cameras. Much cheaper and better in my opinion.
