We are playing around with some potential custom frames for our garage-build, and have a question about frame configuration. How difficult is it to configure our own frame?
Also, we want to use BlueOs and Cockpit as much as possible, but QGC is the only way we are familiar with choosing a frame that differs from the original BlueROV2. Is this possible to do in BlueOS or Cockpit?
Thank you, the quick replies in these forums are such a huge benefit for us users.
Another question --which maybe should have been its own thread-- is there a demo version of BlueOs? I am not able to bring my ROV with me everywhere, and find i often do extra research when I am not close to it. Is this currently available or is it something you have already thought about?
Yes! You can open an instance of BlueOS, and even open cockpit lite in it and drive a simulated ROV around a virtual pool. It takes around 5 minutes for the cloud server to start up, and I don’t think installing other extensions or making changes that “stick” is possible, but maybe it’s handy for your purposes?
Click the “Try BlueOS” button here, and keep an eye on the tab, there is only a ~5 minute window where you can proceed into it!
