for my kayak , i am using a 3 way cobalt power connector between the t200 and the BR esc.
over $80.00.
is there a cheaper quick disconnect for the wires that go from the thruster commander to a control box containing a potentiometer and an on/off switch also possibly a safety cutoff switch and 1 led?
control box is about 3 feet of wire from the thruster commander which is back by the motor and battery.

Cobalt connectors are quite cheap compared to what most subsea rated cables cost!
If your usage on the kayak means the connection will never be submersed, that connector may be overkill. You could consider ones like this?

As mentioned in your previous thread on this topic, the T200 can pull 30 Amps. Since that goes over three pins, you’re going to need at least 10 amps per pin - that 3pin 25A is the most appropriate budget option. That’s why I linked it, and not another variation!
The Thruster Commander itself should draw very little current, on the order of milliAmps (including with the potentiometer). It will be quite hard to find a connector option that doesn’t have enough current rating for that side of the system - 50mA would be plenty (unless you’re using a high-powered LED or something), so if you’ve found an affordable waterproof connector that can do 5A then the current rating isn’t a concern.
The vast majority of power draw in the system is from the battery to the ESCs and the thrusters, so a connector in that area will need to actually factor in current ratings, as Tony mentioned.
