Can not connect BlueROV to topside computer

Hi @jandersonservicesllc -
My apologies - I was chasing the tether due to your statement:

If you connect an ethernet cable directly, and have properly configured your network interface, and still cannot reach 192.168.2.2, something else is indeed wrong.

Can you describe the behavior of the red and green LED on the Pi, closest to the dome / front of the BlueROV2? If you have an micro HDMI to HDMI adapter, you could connect a monitor to the Raspberry Pi and monitor the start up. Re-flashing the SD card may be necessary if the system is not booting - do you hear start up beeps from the thrusters 1-3 minutes after connecting power?

No problem Tony. I’m just trying to be thorough in what I see happening.
I will have to buy that HDMI cord to see that. However, Last week I flashed the BlueOS on to another SD card I had and it was the same issues.

I get the start up beeps immediately. As soon as the ROV sees power, I get the start up sound. There are no more sounds or beeps after that though. Definitely no sounds 1-3 minutes in.

I have one Red light illuminated on the front side of the Pi and a green and blue light Illuminated on the side of the Pi near the front.
I will attach a picture.

The LEDs stay solid in their illumination. No blinks or anything.

Hi @jandersonservicesllc -
If you don’t see a flashing green LED next to the red one on the Pi, the system isn’t booting. The HDMI adapter would confirm that, but in the meantime, please use the support form to request a replacement. Thanks for your patience!

I’ve never seen the green flashing light on this system. Will do. Thanks for all your help Tony.

Just wanted to update for any future BR guys having the same issues. It turned out to be the RaspberryPi. I got the new one plugged it, let it boot up for some minutes and then I heard a second sounds from the ROV that I never heard from the first. I also have two blue side lights now and a forward green light on the raspberryPi. And the typical Ethernet activity and link lights are now showing.

Thanks so much for your help Tony.
Take care.
