Hello,
I have some blueboat deployments happening soon in Greece, Tahiti, and Antarctica.
We will primarily be trying to create maps as well as log some surface CTD data.
I have a crude RTK GPS solution that kind of works, is there anything coming to market soon as a plug and play upgrade? Right now I have so many GPS antennas on my boat for the stock autopilot, RTK compassing, and redundant tracking. I’d love to simplify my setup if possible.
Are there any other upgrades in the works or anything I can potentially beta test?
Thanks.
Hi @CA_BlueBoat -
We are (still) working on the RTK upgrade, it will likely be based on this holybro RTK system, but include mounts to get sufficient seperation for GPS heading from dual units, and include pre-installed penetrators. I would not anticipate it being available this year, but you never know!
Hi Tony,
Thanks for the reply.
Is there anything else in the works for the blueboat anticipated to be released soon?
Hi @CA_BlueBoat -
On the Reef side for the BlueBoat, we’ll have the 300WX weather station coming soon. Generally an update to the Celsius temperature sensor to eliminate potting, and a larger weedless prop for the M500 are on the horizon, along with many other things!
