Our BlueBoat thinks that it is at the coordinates 0.00 N 0.00 W when it is somewhere in Florida. It also is giving us the error message “PreArm: Compass Inconsistent.” We also cannot find the boat anywhere on the Cockpit map, not even at 0,0. How do we fix this so that the compass works and it knows where it actually is?
Update: it’s not even connected to the gps and we can’t figure out why. That’s why we can’t calibrate the compass or find it on the Cockpit map
Hi @Julia, welcome to the forum ![]()
- Have you checked the wiring of the GPS module, to make sure things are plugged in?
- Does the vehicle have a clear view of the sky?
Hello thank you! It is plugged into serial 5, and yes it has a clear view of the sky.
Update for anyone who cares: the guy who put our control box together apparently forgot the gps. So that was the issue. For anyone having something similar you also have to lift the BlueBoat gps out of the surrounding wires to limit interference. Happy creating!
