I’m going to pot the extension and servo wire end in a removable cast urethane of some sort where they join. Maybe taped over and covered with a few cm thick cast material. The servo board is epoxy coated so I’m not worried about that end. Theoretically that way I can still swap a failed servo by digging the connector out and none of the wire ends are directly expose. If necessary I can give it an oil filled outer tube jacket too. I don’t think I’ll need it though.
